                                       My dad’s job

    My dad is an archaeologist. He worked in the old Maya city of Copan. It is in the jungle in Honduras. He and his friends dug up a temple of the king. His name is “18 Rabbit”. My dad found two pictures of the king. He looks young and strong.

   My dad says, it was very hard to work in the jungle. They got up at 6:00 in the morning. It was very hot. And my dad saw many animals in the jungle: parrots, snakes and deer.

  He worked for five years there. Then he came back and wrote books to tell the story of the king “18 Rabbit”.
