Review of “The Magic Tree House”
During the summer holiday, I read a book series entitled “The Magic Tree House”. My favorite episode is the nineteenth—“Tigers at Twilight”.
In this story, the main characters Annie and Jack walked into the magic tree house. There was a letter on the floor, it said:
This little dog is under a spell and needs your help. To free him, he must be given four special things:
A gift from a ship lost at sea,
A gift from the prairie blue,
A gift from a forest far away,
A gift from a kangaroo.
Be wise. Be brave. Be careful.
—By magic master Morgan
Next to the letter stood the little dog that had been cursed, its name was Teddy. Jack and Annie touched the first two gifts, which they had already gotten: a pocket watch from the Titanic and an eagle’s feather from the Lakota Indians of the Great Plains. Now, they had to find the gift from a forest faraway. They picked up a book—“Wildlife of India” and pointed at the cover of the book and said, “I wish we could go there.” The wind started to blow, the tree house started to spin. It span faster and faster, then, everything was still.
When they opened their eyes, they were already in India. They saw two langurs out the tree house, the langurs are brothers, one’s name is Kah, the other’s name is Ko. They were guides for Jack and Annie in India, they help Jack and Annie elude from the boa constrictoy, escaped from the terrible tiger, and help them find the present—a lotus blossom. They were really nice langur brothers.
Finally, the little dog was saved!
Wow, this story is so interesting and cool! I really like it, how about you?
