                                                 Chinese New Year

Chinese New Year is coming, what should I do? I ask my mother, ‘Mum, what should we do for Chinese New Year?’ Mother says, ‘Well, many people will gather together with their family. Some people will decorate the house and watch a lion dance. Most of the people will wear new clothes.’ ‘Oh, I know.’ I say. Then I surf the Net, I want to know more.

I see some people stick a dog, a pig or a rabbit…on the door or on the wall. Some people write words on red paper and stick it on the door.

In the village, some people will make new clothes for themselves. But in the city, people will buy new clothes from the shops.

People can travel by train or plane to be together from far away at Chinese New Year.

In some places, people will watch a lion dance at Spring Festival. The actors will put on the lion head and do some special dancing.

And at Spring Festival, people can have a long holiday.

What a special festival!
