                                                             The Milky Way Galaxy

     Do you know that the Milky Way Galaxy contains our eight plants, more than one thousand stars and other planet’s moons? Well, let me tell you something about the Milky Way Galaxy.

     The Milky Way Galaxy is probably the oldest thing that we could name, and it’s also the biggest thing to name. Let’s just say if you want to travel to the end of the Milky Way Galaxy, it will take you more than one hundred million years because there is no gravity in space, so it is very slow to get around. To those who don’t know what gravity is, it’s something that if you jump the gravity will pull you down back to where you were standing. If there was no gravity, you would be flying in the air. Back to the topic, even if you had a rocket that goes 10000km/h, it will still take forever.

     As everyone knows there is a moon that circles around the Earth, that’s the moon we see every night. You might be wondering that there may be more than one moon in the Milky Way Galaxy. Other planets have moons too. Some moons are bigger than Earth or smaller than the Mars, some are colder than our dwarf planet Pluto, or others are hotter than Venus the planet closest to the Sun. Some planets have more than five moons, and some has no moons.

     As we just talked about planets in our galaxy, now let’s talk about our sun. Our sun isn’t a planet. It’s a star. People might not believe it but it’s true. You might not think it looks like a star but at night it’s the brightest star. Speaking of stars, don’t forget the northern star it’s the star that led our ancestors home at their time. It connects the Big Dipper to the Little Dipper together, and it also connects us to our ancestors and their compass that led them to their homes.

      Now let’s move on to the regular stars and falling stars. As in the first paragraph, there are more than one thousand stars in the Milky Way Galaxy. Let’s not just say one thousand, there could be even a million stars. We can’t estimate the numbers of stars in the sky, even scientist can’t come with an exact number. Sometimes we see something that shoots from this part of the sky to another part of the sky. That might be a meteor which may be hit by asteroids very hard and flies to another place. It can have enough power to break into Earth’s atmosphere. People likes to make wishes when they see a shooting star. People say the giant hole on Jupiter was made by a meteor.

     There are still lots of things about the Milky Way Galaxy that human beings don’t know, so we have to go outside and explore new things.
