Arthur and the Garden

It was the last day of school. Arthur and D.W. ran home. Mom said, "Your grandpa invites you to his house. He wants you to help him look after his garden. Do you want to go there?" Arthur and D.W. shouted," What?! Go to grandpa's house? Yes, we do!" And they went to grandpa's house.

The next day, Arthur and D.W. went to the garden. They saw many tools and flowers. Arthur and D.W. didn't know how to take care of the garden. Arthur and D.W. were unhappy at first. They asked grandpa," We don't know how to look after the garden. Can you teach us?" "Yes!" Grandpa went to the garden with Arthur and D.W.. "Look!" Grandpa showed them how to use tubes to water the flower.

The next day, D.W. planted a flower and watered it. Arthur saw some tomatoes and carrots seeds. He planted carrots and tomatoes.

The school would begin two weeks later, the garden became very beautiful, there were many sun flowers, cannibal flowers, corn flowers... Arthur and D.W. became good gardeners. Grandpa said," The next time you came here, you can eat the food that you planted this time."

What a good summer!
