Arthur’s New Friend

One day, Arthur’s mother says, “Arthur!” But no one says a word, where is he? Is Arthur in the bedroom? No, he isn’t. Where is he? Oh, I see, he’s in the garden. Arthur’s mother says, “Listen, Arthur, from Hainan Island, there comes a friend Googey.” Arthur says, “What cookie it is? Mum, I want a cookie!” Mother says, “It’s not a cookie, but Googey, g-o-o-g-e-y.” Oh, it’s Googey.

Suddenly, the bell rings, Arthur runs to the door and opened the door. It’s Googey. Googey is wearing a blue T-shirt and a red cap. Arthur giggles and says, “Hello cookie.” Googey is very angry, He says, “Ok, let’s play in my bedroom.” When Googey sees the room, it’s so dirty. They clean the floor and books, and they clean the chair. When the friend goes back to the island, Arthur writes a postcard to his friend. He says,

Dear Googey,

You are a great friend!

You are helpful and kind!
