Harry Potter VS Ron Weasley
J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter is popular all over the world and you must have read it already. As friends, Harry Potter and Ron Weasley may seem alike, but they are different in many ways.
In appearance, Harry has black hair and green eyes, wears glasses and is rather skinny. The most characteristic trait of Harry is a lightning-shaped scar on his forehead, which attracts a whole lot of witches and wizards’ attention. And Ron, with red hair and freckles, is tall, thin, and has big hands, big feet and a long nose.
Their characters and specialties are pretty different too. Harry always likes doing illegal stuff and keeps getting into trouble. Once he went into the Forbidden Forest and met a giant spider, which was Hagrid’s pet. The giant spider’s subordinates almost caught Harry. Harry, like his father, is a very good seeker in the quidditch game. He’s also good at “defending” in Dark Arts and can use some very complicated spells. But Ron, on the other hand, is very timid and especially afraid of Voldemort and spiders. However, he always helps his friends when they are in trouble. For example, in the first book when they had to go across the chess board by winning the game, Ron bravely sacrificed his knight so that Harry could prevent the Sorcerer’s Stone from destruction. Although Ron does poorly in most subjects, he performs pretty well in quidditch as a keeper.
Harry and Ron are most different in their family background. Harry’s parents were murdered by Voldemort when he was very young, so he lived in a muggles’ house before he studied at Hogwarts. The muggles treated Harry extremely unfriendly. They gave him the least food. They gave him big, worn and uncomfortable clothes. They didn’t let him get his books and do homework. They didn’t even care about his birthday. But Ron has a big, loving family with parents, four brothers and a sister. He’s pretty lucky.
Finally, both Harry Potter and Ron Weasley, are kind and helpful. That’s the most important point about them.
