The Little Egg’s Adventure in a Night

I am a little egg.

It is my twenty-first day tonight in my mother hen’s nest.

I rolled down the straw and out of the barn.

I rolled down the hill and into the woods and the fox wanted to catch me.

I rolled down the hole and the rabbit wanted to catch me.

I shot out into the night and hopped across a field.

An owl caught me and flew up into the sky.

I’m back into mother hen’s arm now and become a little chick.
